Sustainable urban planning solutions and deep retrofit of buildings: conference online on December 11th
The EU funded smart cities project EU-GUGLE (www.eu-gugle.eu) will hold its final conference on sustainable urban planning solutions in Madrid on 11 December 2018.
Building on the experiences of pioneer cities involved in large scale energy efficiency projects, the conference will bring together urban planners, local policy makers, researchers, entrepreneurs and energy efficiency experts to discuss effective approaches and solutions to energy efficient urban planning and building renovation.
Case studies of deep retrofit ( 50 to 80% reduction in energy use) will be presented in the afternoon session.
The City of Milano, with technical support of end-use Efficiency Research Group, is also implementing deep retrofit actions in its social housing buildings.
